October 3, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

Description

Explore the quirky creativity of small, independent publications known as “zines” (pronounced zeens and short for “magazines”).

This is an informative hands-on workshop focused on a few zine-making techniques, specifically collaborative zines and mini-zines. Students will learn a bit about the history of zines as well as current incarnations we will make together that may incorporate drawing, collage, and stamping.

Students will leave with two zines: one that is made collaboratively by the workshop participants and a mini-zine of their own!

All materials and supplies are included in the cost of this workshop. You are welcome to bring some of your own stickers, stamps, or paper clippings to incorporate in your zines if desired.

No previous experience is necessary. Pre-registration is required.
