2024 Summer Camps
Unleash your camper’s imagination this summer!
Summer Art Camp will introduce campers to various artistic mediums and forms of expression through exploration of our exhibition spaces and engaging art projects.
Overview Info:
2024 Summer Camp Registration opens February 28th!
Camps are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-3:30pm for 4 weeks; 2 weeks in June, 2 weeks in July.
Extended care is available Mon - Thurs. from 3:30pm - 5:00pm.
Afternoon Extended Care is $15.00 per day and must be reserved in advance.
Please note that if you have not picked your camper up by 5:00 pm, you will be charged an additional fee of $15.00.
Campers should wear clothes that can get dirty!
Please pack a lunch, water bottle, 2 snacks, and a light jacket.

Description
Give your children a safe, creative, and open atmosphere to develop their love and appreciation for the arts. Our engaging Summer Camp program fosters the freedom of exploration through a wide array of creative processes and techniques with the guidance and support of our experienced art teachers. Projects include painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media.
Wear clothes that can get dirty!

Week 2: Art Adventures
June 10 - 14
Grades 3 - 4

Description
Campers will use their unique creativity to explore a variety of art making techniques, creating one-of-a-kind 2D and 3D projects. We will go on adventures in our imaginations, around the museum, and outdoors (weather dependent) to find inspiration all around us. Join us on this week-long adventure to explore different cultures in geographic regions worldwide.
Wear clothes that can get dirty!

Week 3:
Experimentation & Expression
July 22 - 26

Description
We will dive into the vast world of the visual arts through fun, hands-on art activities in drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and more! Campers will explore popular themes throughout art history, learning about the work of various famous artists. Students will be focused on expressing their ideas while experimenting with artistic techniques, learning about the elements and principles of art and design.
Wear clothes that can get dirty!

Week 4: High School Summer Art Intensive
July 29 - Aug. 2
Grades 9 - 12
9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
Description
Join the Pensacola Museum of Art to hone your fine art skills and create a new body of work in our week-long summer art intensive program. The museum’s art collection will inspire us to look deeper into art history, developing a stronger expressive voice through the creative process. We will experiment with each media by reinforcing the important technical building blocks, enabling students to practice the skills they’ll need for gaining entry into college-level art courses and professional art environments in the future. Wear clothes that can get dirty!
