2026 Summer Art Camps

Unleash your camper’s imagination this summer!
Summer Art Camp introduces campers to various artistic mediums, techniques, and forms of expression through the exploration of our exhibition spaces and engaging art projects.  

Overview Info:

Registration Opens March 4th, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.


Register for 2026 PMA Summer Art Camps through UWF Explore Camps.


Camps are Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Drop-off begins at 8:50 a.m.

Pick-up between 3:15 - 3:30 p.m.


Extended care is only available Mon - Thurs. from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Afternoon Extended Care is $20.00 per day and must be reserved in advance.

Please note that if you have not picked your camper up by 5:00 p.m., you will be charged an additional fee of $20.00.


Campers should wear clothes that can get dirty!
Please pack a lunch, water bottle, 2 snacks, and a light jacket.

Week 1: 
Exploring Art & Food

June 8 - 12
Grades 1 - 2
9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday

Description

Give your children a safe, imaginative, and open atmosphere to develop their love and appreciation for the visual arts. Our engaging Summer Camp program fosters the freedom of exploration through a wide array of art processes and techniques with the guidance and support of our experienced art teachers. Young artists will explore creativity through food-inspired art. Students will draw and paint their favorite foods, experiment with using food items in their artwork, and discover artists who find creative inspiration in what we eat. Along the way, children will build creativity, confidence, and fine motor skills in a fun, supportive environment.


Parents and family members are invited to join us on Friday at 3:00pm for an art showcase of the projects created throughout the week of camp. 


Wear clothes that can get dirty!

Please pack a lunch, water bottle, 2 snacks (no peanut or cashew products), and a light jacket.

Week 2: High School Summer Art Intensive 


June 15 - 18
Grades 9 - 12 
9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Thursday (4-day camp).   

No Camp on Fri. June 19 due to Juneteenth. 


Description

Join the Pensacola Museum of Art to hone your fine art skills and create a new series of artwork in our summer art intensive program. The museum’s art collection will inspire us to look deeper into art history, developing a stronger expressive voice through the creative process. We will experiment with each media by reinforcing the important technical building blocks, enabling students to practice the skills they’ll need for gaining entry into college-level art courses and professional art environments in the future.  


Parents and family members are invited to join us on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. for an art showcase of the projects created throughout the week of camp. Aftercare is only available Mon. - Wed. this week. 


Wear clothes that can get dirty! Please pack a lunch, reusable water bottle, 1-2 snacks (no peanut or cashew products), and a light jacket.

Week 3: 
Experimentation & Expression 

June 22 - 26 

Grades 5 - 8

9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday


Description

Dive into the vast world of the visual arts through fun, hands-on art projects in drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and more! Campers will explore bold ideas and big images, inspired by everything from ancient cave paintings and wall murals throughout history, to modern pop art and street art by artists like Banksy, Basquiat, and Haring. Discover how and why art has always been a powerful way to communicate. Through hands-on projects, students will experiment with color, movement, and scale to create artwork that tells stories and makes statements. This camp is all about experimentation, curiosity, and finding your own visual, expressive voice.


Parents and family members are invited to join us on Friday at 3:00 p.m. for an art showcase of the projects created throughout the week of camp.

Week 4: Art Adventures

July 13 - 17
Grades 3 - 5
9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday

Description

In this dynamic summer art camp, we’ll explore an animal-themed week inspired by The Jungle Book and Zootopia. Campers will use their unique creativity to investigate a variety of art making techniques while experimenting with a wide range of art materials, from drawing and painting to mixed media and sculpture. Through imaginative, process-oriented projects, students will develop storytelling skills, creativity, and artistic confidence. Students will be encouraged to take creative risks, and bring their animal-inspired ideas to life while learning about the elements and principles of art and design.


Parents and family members are invited to join us on Friday at 3:00 p.m. for an art showcase of the projects created throughout the week of camp.
