Afterschool Art

Next session begins on August 25th, 2022

Grades 1-5 every Thursday

3:30PM - 5:00PM


In our semester-long studio art program, students will develop their artistic skills by engaging in all aspects of the creative process from planning, to concept, to creation. Each class will introduce emerging artists to a wide variety of media, encouraging self expression through the development and practice of art and design fundamentals. Artists meet weekly in the PMA's art classroom to create both individual and collaborative art projects.

Next Generation Homeschool

Every Tuesday from 10:00am - 12:00 p.m.
and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Make the museum part of your homeschool studies. This program is designed to adhere to the National Visual Arts Standards and introduces students to a wide range of art materials while developing creativity and artistic skills. The end of each term culminates in an exhibition of selected artwork for parents and friends to view.

Art Academy for Autism

Starting August 26th/27th, 2022

Ages 5-9 | Alternating Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Ages 10-15 | Alternating Saturdays from 1:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Ages 16+ | Alternating Fridays from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.


Art Academy for Autism is an arts education initiative designed for children and young adults on the autism spectrum. This program focuses on nurturing artistic development and abstract thinking skills within a group environment. Our art educators believe that self expression can help students build personal connections, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and learn a wide variety of artistic skills. This program is made free for students and is generously supported in part by Autism Pensacola.
