Youth Art Focus Awards Reception
Join us in celebrating the artwork featured in the 70th annual Youth Art Focus exhibition on Thursday, February 8th from 5-7pm! Free and open to the public.
Selected students in Middle School and High School will be receiving awards for their achievements in several categories, including Painting, Drawing, Photography/Digital Arts, 3-Dimensional Works, 2-Dimensional Works (printmaking, mixed media, etc.). There will also be Best of Show awards for both Middle School and High School, along with several Outstanding Artistic Achievement awards.
Thanks to our 2024 jurors:
Educators Artwork: Richard McCabe, Curator at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art
High School Artwork: Caroline Ennis, Adjunct Instructor of Art/Ceramics at UWF
Middle School Artwork: Jane Hatcher, Art Teacher at Creative Learning Academy
Award winners will be publicly announced during this reception and awards will be picked up by the teachers at the end of the exhibition.
Description
Art Educators Awards: Best of Show/1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place ribbons will be awarded to winners.
All Elementary School participants will receive participation ribbons after the exhibition closes. Elementary students and families are encouraged to attend our free Youth Arts Day event on Saturday, February 17th from 12-3pm!
