Description

Artist Angelica Tilton will give a brief tour of her current exhibit “Exploring Natural Pigments” in the Stairwell Gallery, and will discuss her experience working with natural paints, pigments, and dyes.

Natural Pigments and Dyes

Then, you’ll have the opportunity to experience natural pigments for yourself, as we paint a piece inspired by the Gulf Coast’s wildlife together using some of the artist’s watercolors made from natural pigments!

Participants will learn how to harness the colors of various plants and clays in order to celebrate our connection with the natural world. No previous artistic experience is necessary to participate in this workshop.

Angelica Tilton began working with natural pigments while working at Historic Pensacola Village.

Since April 2021, she has shared her work through social media, regional markets, and community organizations under the name Possum and Palmetto.
