Preschool Art and Storytime
Join us alongside the West Florida Public Library to engage your preschooler in story time and crafts. During this free event, a librarian will read selections of similarly themed books and encourage movement and participation. Afterward, an art educator will lead parents and preschoolers in a craft related to the reading selections. For ages 2-5 years old. Capacity is limited to 10 pairs – one guardian and one child, and pre-registration is required. Masks are recommended.
Description
August 14: Don’t you wish you could have walked with the dinosaurs?! Keeping up with the West Florida Public Library’s Summer Reading theme, we’ve selected books that explore the animal kingdom, even dinos! Reading selections will include We Love Dinosaurs by Lucy Volpin, Dinosaur vs. the Library by Bob Shea, and We Don’t Eat Our Classmates by Ryan Higgins. Participants will then create their own dinosaur themed craft. Can’t wait to have fun with you and your little one!
