Description

July 24: This week we are inspired by Katsushika Hokusai, Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo Period (1603 – 1867). Hokusai is best known for the woodblock print series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji which includes the internationally iconic print The Great Wave off Kanagawa. His work is featured in our current exhibition, End of Centuryamong many fellow artists of the Art Nouveau and Impressionism movements. Participants will create a variation of a Japanese woodblock print using relief techniques, collage, and watercolor.

Cost

$12 for adults, and $10 for children under 13. Includes Museum Admission!
